Hobbie Leiter

Hobbie Leiter, age 88 of Breckenridge, passed away Wednesday, June 22. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 25 at Morehart Mortuary Chapel with Jim Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the Throckmorton Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Saturday, June 25 at Morehart Mortuary.
Hobbie Nell Still was born October 3, 1927, in Woodson, Texas, to parents Isaac LeGrand “Hobb” Still and Willie Gertrude Pratt Still. She attended schools in Woodson, Eliasville and Breckenridge, where she graduated in 1944. In 1937, she met W.B. “Benny” Leiter and on July 15, 1945, they married in Breckenridge. They lived in Woodson and Throckmorton for over 26 years before moving to the lake in Breckenridge in 1979. Hobbie worked at First National Bank in Throckmorton from 1953 to 1979. She was a faithful member of the Elliott Street Church of Christ. Hobbie and her sisters had the most special bond, through early life, young married life, adult married life and then as widows. They traveled all over the country together with Ray Gee being their driver. She was the most loving mother and grandmother that anyone could hope to have.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hobb and Willie Still; her husband, Benny Leiter; one son, Joe Ben Leiter; and three sisters, Mary Jane Parker, Dorothy Wade and Will Ann Gee.    
Hobbie is survived by four granddaughters, Melissa Trammel and husband Jon of Breckenridge, Natalie Repman, AnJanelle Higgins and husband Tommy, all of Sarasota, Florida, Mandi Michaelson and husband Sean of College Station; nine great grandchildren, Josh Neaves and wife Jessica, Jocelyn Neaves, Coby, Madyson Repman, Laura Leiter, Kayla and Bailey Higgins, Kaylee and Kara Michaelson; one great-great grandson to arrive soon, Jameson Heath Neaves; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels or to the charity of the donor’s choice and may be left at Morehart Mortuary.  Condolences may be made online at www.morehartmortuary.net.
