Judy Lynn “Pete” Otts, 66, went to be with her Heavenly Father on May 29, in Abilene. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, in the Stoker Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.
Pete was born Oct. 8, 1949, to Freeman Webb and Marjorie Bradford in Phoenix, Arizona. She grew up in Wilcox, Arizona. She spent many of her days on the Hooker Ranch where she rode and broke horses. She enjoyed hunting and fishing and volunteering her time as a Girl Scout Leader. She worked many years as a source inspector, a job she worked hard to get and was so proud of.
Pete married her best friend and love of her life, Jimmy Otts, on Dec. 16, 1989, in Tucson, Arizona. Pete, Jimmy, and the girls moved to Crystal Falls, Texas, in May of 1991. Pete spent the remainder of her years enjoying her life on the Clear Fork River.
On Dec. 24, 2012, surrounded by family, Pete and Jimmy, accepted the Lord as their Savior.
Pete is preceded in death by her father Freeman Webb, Stepfather Ed Cullen, Mother Marjorie Cullen, Sister Sherry Pebuck, and Sister Peggy Kyle.
Survivors include husband Jimmy Otts of Crystal Falls; daughter Shawnee Tischler and Husband Kyle Tischler of Albany; daughter Shawna Reatherford and husband Chris Reatherford of Merkel; sister Rebecca Sorensen and husband Scott Sorensen of Tucson, Arizona; and eight grandchildren Tyler Miller, Morgan Reatherford, Krysten Morris, Colton Reatherford, BJ Morris, Jaci Tischler, Kelsey Tischler, and Forest Tischler; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which The Lord, the righteous judge will award to me on that day- and not only me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing.
