Dorothy Jane Hawkins Wills, 85, of Denton, passed away on Saturday, June 18, in Irving.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, June 22, at Breckenridge Cemetery in Breckenridge.
Dorothy’s life will be celebrated on July 2, at Friendship Church in Denton.
Dorothy was born December 2, 1930, to Susie and Felix Hawkins. She was a retired telephone operator having worked for General Telephone and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. She resided in Denton from July 1979 to 2013. Dorothy was known for being very personable and quick-witted. She believed in the importance of family bonds and loved spending quality time with her grandchildren, sewing and crocheting. She was a deeply spiritual person and her overflowing faith led many people to Christ. Dorothy will be deeply missed and always loved by her family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha Garza of Denton and Sarah Miller of Mansfield; a sister, Betty Walker of Mansfield, Louisiana; three granddaughters, Abigail Brannon of Little Elm, Pam Miller and Alan Farmer of Denton and Alicia and Robert Foster of Denton; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Carson, and Collier Brannon, Joss and Dean Miller; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
