Glenn Edward Waldrop, 57, of Corpus Christi, Texas, was called home on Jan. 20.
Glenn was born July 14, 1959, to Bob and Mary Waldrop in Breckenridge. He attended school in Breckenridge, where he played football, graduating in 1977. After high school he went to work for Deluxe Checks in Dallas, before starting his 33 year career with Koch Industries.
On Dec. 3, 1992, Glenn married his soul mate Danielle Frech. Combined they had five children. Glenn loved the outdoors, loved to hunt and fish. He also loved to play the guitar, picking it up and playing to soothe away stress.
Two lifelong dreams of Glenn’s were to go on an African Big Game Hunt and to snag a trophy deer. He was able to fulfill both of those, getting the biggest deer of his life in November 2016. While his outdoor passions brought him much happiness, his greatest joy and achievement was his family. Glenn loved his family beginning with his parents and siblings and continuing to his children and his pride and joy, his granddaughter Bryleigh.
Glenn was an outstanding employee and employer, who built bonds with co-workers that lasted through the years and over the miles of job separations.
Survivors include his wife, Danielle, of Corpus Christi; children, Michael Waldrop of Corpus Christi, Kari Whitney and husband Robert, and granddaughter Bryleigh, of Severn, Maryland, Zach Waldrop of Corpus Christi, and Tyler Waldrop, of San Antonio, his mother, Mary Land of Breckenridge and brothers Ron Waldrop and his wife, Diane of Sherman and Tracey Waldrop of Breckenridge.
