Alfonso Benitez, 52, of Breckenridge, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18 at Morehart Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Tony Castro officiating. Interment followed in the Hart Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.
Alfonso Gonzales Benitez was born July 27, 1969 in Hidalgo, Mexico to parents, Natalio Benitez and Epifania Gonzales Martinez. On July 18, 1990, he married Olga Lopez in Breckenridge. Alfonso was self-employed and the owner of ABTrans for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Roughneck Bible Class. He was preceded in death by his mother, Epifania Gonzales Martinez; and two siblings, Juan Gonzales Benitez, Maria Luisa Gonzales Benitez.
He is survived by his wife, Olga Benitez; children, Richard Lopez Benitez, Alex Benitez, Elizabeth Gonzales Benitez; father, Natalio Benitez; and one brother, Antonio Gonzales Benitez.
