Armando Silva, 61, died Sunday, Aug. 28. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, Sept. 1, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment followed in the Breckenridge Cemetery and a rosary was held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.
Armando was born on November 6, 1954, in Piedras Negras, Mexico, to Julio Silva and Esperanza Flores Silva. He married Juanita Yolanda Ornelas on July 23, 1977, in Eagle Pass. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and worked as a fork lift operator at Jonell Filtration.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Yolanda Silva of Breckenridge; daughters, Arlene Hernandez and husband, Ezquiel of Breckenridge, Amy Perez and husband, Mark of Breckenridge, and Angelica Silva of Breckenridge; sons, Alejandro Silva and wife, Kristie of Breckenridge, and Armando Silva Jr. and wife, Tiffany of Breckenridge; sisters, Hilda Sanchez of Eagle Pass, Rosie Guerra of Piedras Negras, Mexico and Mary Roasas of Abernathy; brothers, Julio Silva of Crystal City and Juan Silva of Spring Lake; 18 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and one grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Angel Silva, and a sister, Martha Silva.
