Leon Holsenbeck

Leon Holsenbeck, 77, of Breckenridge, passed away, Monday, July 17, at his home. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 21,  at 14th and Main Church of Christ, 1401 S. Main Street, Big Spring. Cremation took place under the direction of Abilene Cremation Service.
Leon was born April 28, 1939, in San Angelo, the son of the late David and Sarah Holsenbeck. He managed Kentwood Shamrock Service Center in Big Spring for many years. Leon enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He was also quite the handy man; he could fix anything.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles “C.L.” Holsenbeck; and four siblings.
Leon is survived by his wife, Joyce Holsenbeck of Breckenridge; children, Donald Holsenbeck and wife Karie of Big Spring; David W. Holsenbeck of Big Spring; Norissa Parker of Houston; stepsons, Glen Whitley, James Whitley; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one step great grandson; and one sister, Jean Lee of Lamesa.
